Assassin and Ritualist not being supported in future chapters?
Does this mean there will bew no new skills/armor/weapons for Assassin and Ritualist in future chapters? I suppose it makes sense, but does that mean there will be no incentive to taking an Assassin/Ritualist through future chapter's storyline (aside for "sense of completion")?

probably not .. it d require to implement skill trainers / crafters / quests based on them.
that might cause some unbalance problems if u could get some stuff somewhere in a chapter that's not available at that moment in another chapter .. btw, there is nothing added in Prophecies for em ... |

Yeah I don't think they'll get anything in other chapters. They have mentioned references to Magic: The Gathering in the past and its about the same way in that game. In one set (main expansion plus 2 smaller expansion) they'll introduce a new mechanic which will only live in that set. It's still playable with other sets, but it is rarely repeated. For anyone familiar with the game, think of Buyback from the Tempest Cycle. It was used in that cycle but not in other cycles. There is still errata in the future if it becomes unbalanced (which is easier done in an online game like GW). Some of them are still fairly powerful as well, even banned in gameplay with some future sets. I have no doubt that the Ass/Rits will be the same way. It works out fairly well in Magic (which contrary to the belief of some people that played it once or twice is not nearly dead).

in a way, GW is like a CCG, u choose among a pool of common/rare skills to make a build
each expansion has its own feature but u can still play if u skip one i see things that way Chapter 3 ll be playable even if u didnt buy Factions, i think |

This is why I am avoiding noncore classes until the issue is addressed.
Core classes will always have more skills if they keep adding to the skillsets. |

I assuming (maybe bad on my part) they will give them new skills each expansion but as far as new stuff, it won't be on par with the "new" two professions.
But then again, this is a guess on my part. |

I'm going to be extremely irritated if they keep adding redundant or useless skills for the core classes in the new chapters. Mostly recycled content does not equal a stand alone game.

If you played magic the gathering this is the norm and it does work out very well (and not due to being "cheap").
Allows varation/replication of the same "skill" to allow you to have more then one. To have a different flavor of the same skill for those that don't have C2 or others. Think about this, if someone picks up C5 brand new, it's going to cost a pretty peeny to buy C1-C4 if you don't own it. I will bet there will be A) New Skills, B) Varations of existing skills, C) Same skill with a different name. GW is going to get "theme" based with the sheer amount of skills you can choose from so the shift play xyz build is going to be, play a character that can do this effect on monster, and you have to have variation / duplicats to pull it off (be it for the effect or a copy/version of skills or the fact you can't assume the have C2). Wasn't there 300 New skills in addition to duplicates with C2? |

I will continue to believe that they will get things like:
New weapon skins New armors (even if its just skins) And hopefully new skills (More doubtful that the rest) |

There are probably more mechanics that have been brought back, but I've dropped that game for quite a while now. Anyways! I would be such a shame if there were to be no more support for Ritualists and Assassins. New builds? Nope! Use your Pain attack over and over again! |

I think that each chapter will only contain skills for those professions that can be created in that chapter. If they add support for Assassins and Ritualists in C3, then they have to add support for C3 professions in Factions, and then the same for C4 if there are new professions in that chapter.
The incentives for running Assassins and Ritualists through later chapters will be the same as for running them through Prophecies, plus the option of changing secondaries to any new professions. |

Guess it's just kinda dissapointing to know that your Assassin or Ritualist will have nothing to look forward to in future chapters :/

in MTG they have returned some old things, like cycling is back, but...
...to stay on topic, I think they will need to add some new skills to Ass/Rit if they add new skills to core professions that artn just reworded copies of original skills. I think people will be most upset if all they can do with their Ass/Rits is play through those chapters with very little bonus, or new skills, i mean its not ahrd to think up, or listen to the community and add 5 skills that would actually be wanted and balanced. |
